Davey woke up at 6 o clock. He quickly got ready and headed downstairs. Davey promised Jade he would walk him to school early so he could make sure his locker worked and what not. Davey was excited; he has a strange attraction to Jade. He felt like they were long lost friends. Davey also thought he was beautiful, like a god, or an angel.
“Davey, you didn’t forget me!”Jade smiled and walked down his driveway.
“Of course I didn’t forget you. I don’t forget anyone, friends or enemies.” Davey smiled and lead the way to the school. Jade stayed beside him, constantly glancing back, but not to see how far they had gotten.
“So I’m your friend?” Jade said, kind of shocked.
“Yeah you are, is that okay?” Davey asked, kind of nervous that he jumped ahead of himself and said they were friends.
“Yes, I am just shocked; I usually scare people away by now.” Jade said, he felt like he wanted to tell Davey he was gay, but he didn’t want to lose a new friend, who seemed to be someone could develop into a great friend.
“Well you are not scary that’s something I know for sure.” Davey laughed and continued walking down the street to school. Jade followed gracefully beside them.
They chatted the rest of the way to school. Jade talked about the concert he had gone to last year and how he wanted to go to another one as soon as possible. Davey talked about the school, all it’s up and downs. The basic “hallway” rules that some of the “bullies” had placed.
Jade and Davey walked into the school. The stares were extra sharp today as Jade talked to Davey. Comments flew across the hall, but Jade didn’t seem to notice, Davey did though.
“I told you about the staring.” Davey whispered to Jade.
“I know, but ignore it, I have learned how to.” Jade walked to his locker and put his stuff away. Davey waited for him and then showed him to his first class.
“I think it’s great we have classes together. Now I can show you where you have to go, without having problems getting to my class, not that I care.” Davey laughed silently.
“Yeah, thanks for helping me, I would be lost, this school is huge.” Jade let Davey lead the way to homeroom.
